The book "OUR CHEMICAL HEARTS" written by Krystal Sutherland speaks about the realistic situation of teenagers in current scenario .Being a Teenager isn't easy you are struck between in the stage of childhood and about to become a responsible adult. The story's protagonist Henry page is an editor in his high school, his life is rather boring or miserable when compared to any other teenagers in his school except until Grace town shows up. Grace isn't a normal girl fanatasizing about her dream boy rather she is very dark in every aspect, wearing guy's clothes and cane in other hand, hiding a heartbreaking secret from her past. It is not a love at first sight for sure. They don't have nothing in common except they both love to write. As Henry and grace spend their most of the time together as editors in highschool, they both develop a strong emotion for eachother. Henry tries to learn grace's past. Grace recovering from a tragetic incident in her life. As they were spending their evening in roadside Grace took henry to her secret spot a pool. It was inside a demolished factory. The place was totally dark, grace begun to throw a few pieces of breads in the pool to the fishes. Henry tries to dig up grace's past but she refused to spoke about it .After few days henry saw grace in a field crying....Later that day Grace took henry to a spot where the accident took place. It was not just a accident ,it was the place where she lost her first love.....
Henry is now clear that he is just a Drifter in someone else love story. He tries to keep his distance away from grace but the more he swept away the closer he wants to be with her. He visited her home for the first time, he was suprised to see that she was living in her boyfriend's room ,refusing to move on .Henry advise grace to move on, she tries her best to face her darkest demons .And she did it, she finally moved on from the darkest chapter of her life .As for Henry he got into one of the semi-topper college. Grace moved on with her life. They moved on with their life with different paths, ofcourse it hurted like hell. As Henry walked away from the hallway he saw grace and said to himself
"WE MAY NOT BE DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER,BUT
I AM GLAD THAT YOU WERE A PART OF MY LIFE"
Henry knew it is going to hurt like hell and he also know pain demands to be felt. And if, in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I will smile at you with a joy and remember how we spent a summer beneath the trees, learning from each other growing in love........
